She has received several awards including the Romance Writers of America RITA Award for Best Contemporary Single Title for Bet Me and the RITA Award for Best Short Contemporary for Getting Rid of Bradley. Her other works include Strange Bedpersons, What the Lady Wants, Charlie All Night, Anyone but You, The Cinderella Deal, Trust Me on This, Crazy for You, and Maybe This Time. Her first book, Manhunting, was published in 1993. Before becoming a full-time romance author, she was an art and English teacher. And since this book, I have read some of hers that have hard topics, that she faces well, I just wish I hadn't purchased or read any part of this one.Jennifer Crusie was born Jennifer Smith in Wapakoneta, Ohio in 1949. And I will still look forward to Crusie's books. I was so disappointed with the story, that I had to stop reading the book. And I think I was supposed to be glad that the heroine of the story had a 'man friend' to comfort her, but I really wasn't. Cheating on a spouse isn't funny- especially when a child is involved. Nothing that happened was funny to me- and I got about half way into the book. According to the summary, I expected lighthearted, funny, etc.

Maybe someday I will because I own it, but I was not expecting the book that I got. That being said also know that I didn't finish the novel- I couldn't. She writes super fun books and I have liked most of the books that she has written (of course some more than others). Before you read my review, know that I like Jennifer Crusie.
